The Reykjavik Calling concert began in 2010 as a way to celebrate the talented musicians and exciting new music emerging from “Sister Cities” Seattle and Reykjavik, Iceland. After last year’s show we all were dying to travel to Iceland and discovered some amazing new artists like Mugison, who even extended an invitation for us to stay with him if we ever visited Reykjavik (we might just take him up on the offer).  Based on last year’s success, we are working with Iceland Naturally and KEXP again to not only bring back the showcase in 2011, but to expand the international reach to include musicians from  Seattle, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.  The 21+ show is Friday, Oct. 28 at 8:00 p.m. and is FREE to the public until capacity is reached.
